Participants will understand the concept of wealth management based on the Shari‘ah. The challenges faced by Muslims in managing their wealth in Singapore through the application of conventional products and the civil law will also be elaborated. The speaker will focus on the activities of Protection, Enhancement, Debt Settlement, Purification and Asset transfer upon death in accordance with Shari‘ah. The speaker will also make some practical justification to minimise or eliminate the potential challenges in applying conventional financial products in Islamic Wealth Management. How these are applied with the conventional Insurance and Investment products and the contemporary asset transfer mechanisms can be accepted in Singapore context based on Shari’ah.
