With the affluence of Muslims, changes in Muslim family structure, economics, several Fatawa and the development of estate planning services for Muslims, how is one able to reach out and serve Muslims in estate planning? Dr Sadali bin Rasban will share his research and over 25 years of Shariah estate planning and disposal experience with participants. The new knowledge and experience acquired in this short presentation will excite participants to reach Muslims in estate planning.

The Pioneer in Islamic Estate Planning & Wealth Management
He received his Doctor of Philosophy (Islamic Banking & Finance) in Islamic Wealth Management from IIUM (International Islamic University Malaysia). His thesis: Analysis of Estate Distribution Practices and Mechanisms in Singapore. His other educational qualifications include two (2) Master’s in Conventional and Islamic finance, six (6) Diplomas, and professional finance qualifications from several renowned universities and institutions here, like Singapore College of Insurance and overseas, like IBFIM and INCEIF.
At age 65, he has written over 30 books, both in Malay and English, on Islamic Estate matters. Lecturers, students at the tertiary level, and professionals in the financial and legal industries are referred to in those books. His books always give a new perspective and are implementable per Shariah in Singapore. These books have influenced MUIS to revise their past Fatawa, reject conventional insurance, nominations, and Joint Tenancy, and accept them per our findings documented in those books.He has been in the financial industry for more than 27 years. He provides consultation on Shariah Estate Planning to Muslims, lawyers, and financial advisors. He prepares Islamic assets transfer deeds (like Islamic Will, Hibah (Gift), etc.) and assists in Muslim probate matters. He also conducts talks and training for public and financial professionals and continuously researches estate matters. He has track records, as published in the Berita Harian, for solving several complicated Muslim estate cases.
